Email Marketing Delivery : Business List CPR

So , you have an old list with dust and cobwebs on it? Well sit back and let the DIY Marketing Guy summarize this tale on :

Email Marketing Delivery : Business List CPR

How to make an old list new again

I hate to break it to you bub , but there is no real way to do this. However , here are a couple of guidlines to aid you in rehashing that old fling.

More than a year old

  • So check it out, more than 1/3 of email addresses change a year. But your list is even older than that huh? Well , then you are looking at the likely hood of 2/3 of your list resulting in ” this number has changed or is no longer in service” . Time for some reconfirmation about who’s in the house.

Freebie accounts save the day

  • Grab an oldie but goodie free email account to send your re-confirmation messages from. Make sure to break your list down into bite size portions ( no more than 200 at a time) Also you might name your new ( i neglected to keep up with my old homies ) account to something close to your old newsletter.Like if your old newsletter was called

” Im Jones’n for Misses Jones”.

Then lable your email address something like :

    jones_n_for_misses_jones@gmail.com

However, now that I look at it , that is a terrible name for a newsletter . Not to mention that addy will probably plop you in spam city USA.

Using The Free Account

  • Send out a plain text email asking your peeps to reconfirm their involvment with your newsletter. You will most likely get the finger , but who knows ,you may come off suaver than those pert plus commercials.

Why send from a free account

  • Well it’s much more fun to ruin someone elses email reputation and not your own ? Right?  This will protect your business email account from getting blacklisted.  Diy Markeing Guy strikes again!
